Former Valent President & COO to help distance learning company tap new markets

Minneapolis, MN - Mike Borel has joined the Ag Technologies Board of Advisors as a lead strategist, helping the distance learning company tap new business opportunities.

Borel, the former president and COO of Valent Corporation, was most recently the CEO and Chairman of Novazone, Inc, where under his leadership the company saw dramatic sales growth and an impressive turnaround. He also maintains his own business consulting practice, Borel Consulting.

"Mike is a great voice in the agribusiness community," says Rob McClelland, general manager for Ag Technologies Intl., a division of Adayana. "He will be an incredible asset in opening markets that we haven't tapped yet. We are excited to work with him and to see where Ag Technologies Intl. can go with his help."

Earlier, Borel held senior leadership positions with Valent and DuPont. Prior to his promotion to President at Valent, he was Vice President of Technology as well as Vice President of Marketing and Operations.

While at DuPont, Borel rose quickly through the Business Management and Sales and Marketing divisions and served in several positions, including Manager of U.S. and Canada Development, Business Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa, and General Manager of Australasia. Borel earned a BS from Iowa State University.

"I'm excited to be joining the Ag Technologies Intl. team," says Borel. "They are a first rate company and they are filling a tremendous need in the food and agribusiness space."
